Pano Fountas is a Los Angeles-based composer, orchestrator, and pianist, known for his versatile work in film, television, and live concerts.
He has collaborated extensively with orchestrator/arranger Tim Davies on high-profile projects, including A Minecraft Movie (additional orchestrations), Welcome To Holland (score programming), Agatha All Along, Outer Banks, and more.
As a composer, Pano has scored a range of independent films, including the crime drama Penitentia (streaming on Apple TV and Amazon Prime), the romantic drama Upon Waking (Alternative Spirit Award winner at the Rhode Island Film Festival), and the historical drama 1805 (Official Selection at the Big Apple Film Festival).
In addition to his work in film and television, Pano is active in the pop music scene, contributing transcriptions, music preparation, and demos for major concerts, including the BBC Proms, the NY Pops Gala, and various performances at the Kennedy Center, featuring artists, such as Dua Lipa, Sia, Tech N9ne, Mark Lettieri, and Cory Henry, among others.
Pano’s work has earned numerous accolades, including the prestigious NYU Alan Menken Scholarship, awarded by eight-time Academy Award-winning composer Alan Menken. He holds a Master of Music in Screen Scoring from New York University Steinhardt and a Bachelor of Music with Distinction in Classical Piano Performance from the Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow.
