Pano Fountas is a composer, orchestrator, and pianist active across multiple media, from feature films and television series to video games and live concerts.


A close collaborator of Grammy-nominated arranger and orchestrator Tim Davies, he has contributed orchestration, MIDI programming, and music preparation to major studio productions, with credits including A Minecraft Movie, Caught Stealing, The Sheep Detectives, EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, The Bride, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, Outer Banks, and The Outer Worlds 2, among others. ​​​

In the concert world, he has provided transcriptions, demos, and music preparation for performances at the BBC Proms, the Kennedy Center, and the Royal Albert Hall, including Stevie Wonder's Innervisions under Jules Buckley, Dua Lipa's Radical Optimism, and concerts with the National Symphony Orchestra featuring Killer Mike, Kem, and Tobe Nwigwe, as well as work with the Metropole Orkest and the New York Pops.

 

As a composer, he has scored award-winning films, including Upon Waking (Alternative Spirit Award at the Rhode Island International Film Festival) and Penitentia (Audience Award at the Tallgrass Film Festival). His concert music includes Sinfonietta for Strings, commissioned by the Friends of Music Society in Athens and premiered at the Athens Concert Hall. His music has also been featured in national advertising campaigns.

 

A classically trained pianist, Pano earned his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow. He also holds a Master of Music in Screen Scoring from New York University Steinhardt, where he received the NYU Alan Menken Scholarship from eight-time Academy Award–winning composer Alan Menken.
